When I took this poll, the first thing it asked was "more restrictions on gun rights" YES or NO. I, ALONG WITH ABOUT 96% OF THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO TOOK THIS POLL, ANSWERED NO. Then it asked WHY?MY ANSWER WAS VERY SIMPLE...THE SECOND AMENDMENT THAT'S WHY.DO THE WORDS "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" RING ANY BELLS?It's called the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. TRY READING IT.PS...GUNS DON'T HAVE RIGHTS.PEOPLE HAVE RIGHTS. PLACING RESTRICTIONS ON FIREARMS VIOLATE THOSE RIGHTS.You see, The Constitution doesn't actually give you anything. What it DOES do, is that it specifically tells the government WHAT THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH.More restrictions on guns aren't going to solve anything. Until we address the issue of responsibility for crime, adding more laws doesn't fix the problem, it makes the problem WORSE. The liberal left would have you believe that the responsibility falls on the OBJECT rather than on the PERSON THAT COMMITTED THE CRIME. The fact of the matter is a gun is just a tool like a hammer or a shovel. Guns don't kill people, PEOPLE kill people. Until we address THAT FACT, EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST A BUNCH OF WINDOW DRESSING. What we need AREN'T more laws, what we need is more PUNISHMENT for people who BREAK THOSE LAWS. Back in the old west if you robbed the bank you went to jail. If you robbed a whole lot of banks you went to federal prison. If you stole somebody's horse, or you shot somebody for some reason other than self-defense, and they died, they hanged you for it. What we need is more enforcement of the laws that are already on the books especially when you consider the fact that by definition a criminal does not follow laws, a criminal BREAKS laws. HENCE the name "OUTLAW". WHAT WE NEED IS A MODERN INTERPRETATION OF THOSE LAWS. In the old west they hung you for stealing a horse. Nowadays people don't ride horses but we do drive cars and motorcycles. As far as I'm concerned if someone steals your car or your motorcycle they should HANG FOR IT. If someone attacks and robs you, or breaks into your home with intent to do bodily harm to you and your family THEY SHOULD HANG FOR IT.If someone is a MURDERER then THEY SHOULD HANG FOR IT.And most important of all a person should have the right to defend themselves and their home and family against such attackers and Invaders, without being raked over the coals for doing so, because currently we're treating the victims as criminals and the criminals are getting a SLAP ON THE WRIST and let off SCOTT FREE.WE DON'T NEED MORE LAWS.WHAT WE NEED IS MORE PUNISHMENT FOR BREAKING THE LAWS. WE NEED TO STOP CODDLING LAW BREAKERS AND TREAT THEM AS WHAT THEY ARE... O U T L A W S. 😡
