Partial Commentary On The Third Temple From Perry Stone. Very Interesting. . .“According to Kauffman, [professor from the Hebrew University] if the Jews were to rebuild a temple, it would take approximately forty-two months, not to construct the facility, but to offer certain prayers during new moons, Sabbaths, and feast days. This is interesting when considering that the time-frame from the beginning of the seven-year treaty to the time of the invasion of the Antichrist would be forty-two months. It is possible that the Antichrist will set out to seize Jerusalem after this Temple is completed and at the time of the dedication of the new Temple. What makes this a strong possibility is the fact that two “witnesses” will be ministering in Jerusalem for the first forty-two months and, in the middle of the Tribulation, both will be slain by the Antichrist. One of the two witnesses will be Elijah, who will appear before the “great and dreadful day of the LORD” (Mal. 4:5). It is quite possible that Elijah will participate in the rebuilding of the Temple, requiring forty-two months during the first half of the Tribulation. At the time of the dedication of the Temple, the Antichrist and his armies will initiate an invasion of Jerusalem, putting a stop to the Temple's dedication and killing the two witnesses (see Rev. 11). Note that the measuring of the Temple is mentioned in the same chapter as the appearing of the two witnesses, who themselves will control nature by calling for a drought and for fire to come from heaven (see Rev. 11:5-6).There is biblical evidence that at some point, perhaps through the instruction of Elijah the prophet who serves as one of the two witnesses, the Jews will once again have a temple presence in Jerusalem. In Daniel 9:27, the Antichrist will invade Jerusalem, stop the sacrifices, and set up an abomination at the Temple itself (see Rev. 13:11-18), after killing the two witnesses in Jerusalem.”
