Yesterday, I went out for cocktail hour with my first glass and George's bowl. Didn't take long, never does. I 'lowed him to chug a mite, then waited. He said "Sup, furless"? I told him I wanted to know how males and females behaved in his world. Needless to say, his rodent mouth can be quite Navy-like, and he was in fine form today. I know he watches TV on our window sill, so I told him about the likes of Sydney Cooke on Walker, Ziva David on NCIS, Sarah MacKenzie on JAG, Ronda Rousey in the MMA, and Laila Ali, the undefeated champ in many leagues before retiring after eight years. I wanted to know why the "suburban housewives" would want to spend more money on cosmetics, fru-fru, clothes, and shoes rather than lessons to learn self protection. Then, they go out looking for a "bad boy" who abuses them so bad they relegate themselves to cleaning out litter boxes for multiple cats for life after their divorce. He was on the ground laughing hysterically. He said since I'd phrased it that way, he KNEW this wasn't a CC post because the wimmen'd destroy me. His explanation was so simple it brought tears to my eyes. He explained that if a female wanted, they played. It ended one of two ways. They were done, or they let them know they were interested further. I asked him what happened if a male "crossed the line", and he jumped down screaming, and running in circles. He was TERRIFIED ! After he calmed down and had a couple more swigs, he explained. Female squirrels aren't helpless in any way, shape, or form. They deal with predators the same as males, yet continue to protect their babies. After a female squirrel attacks a male and leaves him torn up, other males finish the job to make sure their community is cleansed. He said all the laws we could pass won't help. He actually recommended we could learn from THEM, but I pointed out it sure was/is fulfilling to see some jackass get what he deserves when he attacks the wrong one. Meanwhile, suburban housewives fret about mean tweets and ne'er-do-wells failing to obey the laws. Then, advocate for defunding the police. Etc. Time for me to learn how to climb trees.
