From the beginning our heavenly Father gave us a free will and the ability to choose. Only back then there wasn't anything to choose from. That is when he allowed Satan to deceive Adam and Eve to give them something to choose. Doing good or evil, to obey or to disobey.Without evil there cannot be a choice even with free will. Our heavenly Father does not want a bunch of robots he want us to use our free will to choose him over Satan. He wants us to choose doing good over doing evil. That is why he has given us His Holy Spirit. To teach us how to live a sin free life style and to reject all forms of evil. It is only through the Holy Spirit we are able to live the abundant life he promised.
