You made me question if I belonged, that maybe I shouldn’t. You forced me into a dark place where light can’t be seen nor felt. A black pit of pain, suffocation and trauma.I watched with my heart in pieces in my hands as you locked doors, drew a line, pointed fingers and taped mouths shut. I watched families split, businesses close, jobs lost and the ability to choose your own path, diminish. Children, teens and young adults younger than me taking their own fucking life because it was too much. I watched the most valuable thing taken in the greatest robbery of all. Time. One of the few things we can never get back.I watched the soul leave the lifeless eyes of those who try to enforce this new way of life and strip humanity of its soul, funny how that works. I’ve watched magazines of hate loaded into the cameras to be shot back at our TVs poisoning minds around the globe.Hate was your tool of choice, and can I just say, you did an amazing job. But what you missed while you were busy writing about how "unacceptable", racist and selfish those who simply wanted a say over their own body, a family was birthed.A family where divide doesn’t exist, a family where race, ethnicity, gender, age don’t make a lick of difference. A family where love is the currency and whoever spends it will also receive.I feel for you now, I feel for you because you may never have experienced love like this.
