Today, Kansas Republicans voted to override Laura Kelly's vetoes of HB 2387 and HB 2252, two bills providing much-needed accountability to our current Governor's reckless abuses of power. These two bills will now go into law despite Kelly's efforts and will act as crucial checks to rein in the Governor's overreach.Governor Kelly is clearly out of step with Kansans. That is obvious by the number of times she has vetoed legislation supported by a super majority of a legislature elected by the people of Kansas in the most recent election cycle. Thankfully, there is another election coming up later this year where the voters will have the opportunity to make Governor Kelly a one-term Governor.
