There’s a lot going on inside most frozen “fruit bars” on the market….
Outshine says “Made With Real Fruit” …but they are also filled with white sugar, natural flavors, gums, concentrated juices.
And despite the pictures of fruit on the box, I don’t consider these bars real food.
Don’t waste your money on boxes full of chemicals like this, when it’s super easy to make frozen fruit pops with healthy ingredients. All you need is a blender and a stainless-steel or silicone (not plastic!) popsicle mold:
Food Babe's Pineapple Ginger Pops
Serves: 4-6
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped pineapple
1 teaspoon grated ginger, more as desired
½ cup coconut milk
1-2 teaspoons raw honey (optional)
Instructions:
1. Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend to combine.
2. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and place in the freezer for at least 2 hours or overnight.
