So killing coyotes is one of my favorite hobbies. I wasn't too good at calling them the first few years so I decided to learn to shoot them from a long ways away. By the time I got good at that, I'd become better at calling them. My longest kill was 1070 yards away, my closest kill was 17 yards. My next two goals are 5 yards and 1500 yards. I see no reason to persue both far & close goals.
