I finally did it. After seeing how much those on EBay want to charge for a reservation for the Sega Astro City Mini V, I went ahead and created an Amazon Japan account. Not my first choice for trying to order something straight from Japan but they seem the most user friendly for someone who doesn’t know how to read Japanese. Not sure how I’m to pay sales tax, if I have to pay customs fees or if my CC on file can even pay the USD to Yen conversion rate. Kinda winging it so I hope I don’t mess things up.
