I'm having so much fun with the DG505 glider! Flew over 5 hours recently and traveled almost 200 miles in that time. The next flight I do: I'm hoping to do 250 miles in a triangle around Lake Okeechobee in the same 5 hours by adding loads of weight into it so the gliding cruise speed is increased while retaining the glide ratio for a higher given speed. Empty at 70kts it'll do about 35:1 but when fully loaded with water and weights it'll cruise at 86kts at 35:1! On really strong thermal days, the extra weight isn't noticed because we only slightly increase the sink rate with this extra weight. By the way... I don't fly around taking selfies lol these are mostly just the same photo in a few different angles of the 360 camera. I didn't realize the camera had been set to take photos instead of videos. 😵‍💫 Doh!
