Klaus Martin Schwab (1938) is a German engineer and economist. In 1971 he founded what would become the World Economic Forum, where he currently serves as executive chairman. Schwab has been criticized for receiving a salary of SF 1 million, while declaring publicly that excessively high management salaries were "no longer socially acceptable."
