Porch sitting. Why? You've seen 'em before. Staring into unseen vistas. An occasional tear. Is it remembering the old days? Is it reminiscing the days of youth? Going to sock hops? First date? Thinking of lost friends? Fixing up your first car? Unfortunately, today, it's most likely the clarity of realizing we're irrelevant. There's no way on God's green earth we can provide advice that's timeless. We couldn't raise our children the way we were raised, and now we can't advise you how to raise your own. The world's changing so fast we're basically forgotten. Family reunions and holiday celebrations are things of the past. They're even changing definitions of words now, and can't agree on that. Search "liberalism definition" on Google, then search it on DuckDuckGo. If they can't even understand, how can people like us ever be relevant again? Everything's changed. Why? For what? The sake of change? Got too bored?
The permissiveness of society, combined with judicial activism has torn the fabric of our nation. We've abandoned the principles we were founded on. It doesn't take a genius to realize where it's all going. Look at sanctuary cities and states. Yet, everybody's allowing it to happen. Nobody wants to get involved anymore. Instead of public service, it's now self service. Religion has been manipulated and prostituted politically to represent anything but what the Bible says. Am I being too negative? No, I'm actually being too real and telling the truth. You know it, so do I. Yes, I'm a self admitted porch sitter. I do write this page every day, but it's a kinda diary to leave to my son, with the comments y'all leave. Down the road, should society decide to return to their roots, they can use these posts to get insight to the good old days we lived. They were definitely better, when WE depended on each other instead of a manipulative government. Yet, their way is better? Nahhhh.
You wonder why I talk to George so much. It's simple. HE enjoys listening...........
