While the song says there's over 50 ways to leave your lover, there's only one way to keep our nation out of the abyss. It doesn't matter if you're too (fill in the blank). It's so simple it's astounding. NEVER EVER QUIT. Keep speaking truth to power. Stop getting drug into the swamp by creatures who have more experience there. Don't participate in their distractions. Ukraine/Russia, SCOTUS nominee, economy, inflation, pandemic, gender fiascos, politics, ethnicity, race, and NOW the Smith/Rock fascination. Did I watch? Please. I've already heard enough about that garbage. Remember, every day in every way they're trying anything they can to get your attention off what's happening. Truth IS coming out, and they can't STAND it. They're actually manufacturing the big lie about the midterms to get people to falsely think they don't have to get out to vote because they've already won ! Ludicrous, but considering apathy today, entirely plausible. We all have our days. BUT, make a plan to do at least ONE thing besides prayer to stand up to it. Call/email your Reps and Senators. Keep them informed about your opinion. Same with Governors and school boards. Gain full knowledge of both sides of every issue and debate those willing to on a civil basis. Don't try the triggered approach, that's THEIR playbook, not ours. Who WOULDN'T you sit down to discuss/debate something with? I'd go head to head with Satan himself! If you've got a name you WOULDN'T discuss something with, you just became a part of the uncivilized discourse we face today. It puts you in the exact same position as THEM, just on a different side. When EFFECTIVE communication is lost, the battle lines are drawn, and the conflict is nigh at hand. There's more of US than there are of them, in spite of what they say. Our education, wisdom, and years of experience will insure our victory if we don't quit. NEVER, NEVER, EVER QUIT. Just wake up every day with the mantra "I'm NOT going to quit TODAY". Then, don't.
