Dear David,
No doubt over the weekend you saw an article, a headline or an image of the male swimmer, Lia Thomas, thrashing his female counterparts again.
Incredibly, too many talking heads in the media, along with some celebrities, have come out in defence of this appalling behaviour. Thomas is male, always was and always will be. Costumes and pill popping don’t change the biological facts.
Others are finally finding their voice to speak out and at least question this harmful practice of males appropriating womanhood. But not enough.
What I find staggering is that out of 151 members of the House of Representatives and 76 members of the Senate, less than 10 have vocalised support for Senator Claire Chandler’s bill to protect women’s sport.
Binary specifically asked every sitting member where they stood. Two Labor women have indicated they oppose the bill, with eight coalition members indicating support.
Why? I suspect it is because they are afraid.
They see the aggressive pursuit by the media of anyone who falls foul of the radical trans agenda being imposed on society. They fear cancel-culture and negative press.
Is that any excuse? Absolutely not!
Our political representatives must choose a side. They are either for biological reality and sex-based rights – or they are opposed and will propagate a radical political ideology that denies science and rejects reality.
It is up to you to ask your local members where they stand. Demand an answer because they are re-presenting your voice in parliament. Let me know how they respond and I will certainly inform Binary supporters where each one stands as we approach this important federal election.
Yours sincerely,
Kirralie Smith
