Fat Dom Alongi was a member of the New York Genovese Family in the Greenwich Village crew but Alongi had his roots in New Orleans. His uncle Sal was a Made member of the NOLA Family and he was also cousin to "Fat" Frank Gagliano who took over as Underboss after Carlos Marcello's death in 1993.
