I GOT HIM! That tree climbing pachyderm! Got him cold! It all started over coffee this morning, and I decided George needed an education about psyops since he was spending so much time online again. I'd told him about the weather coming this weekend, going down to 20* Saturday night. I told him it might rain, possibly even snow. Combined with the possibility of gas siphoners out there, I recommended he move his car inside the fence since it's an old convertible he can't find a locking cap for. He doesn't like to do that, because I lock the gates at night and he can't get out unless he asks me. Then, I got him. I told him that it probably didn't matter anyway, since the gas catastrophe was coming and anybody that wasn't filled up and has spare gas wasn't going to be able to do anything anyway. He got all agitated, and scampered off. I started giggling. I got him! He squealed his tires when he sped off for the 17 mile one way trip to the gas station. He'd forgot to take into account what he knew. He was so into the propaganda I'd pumped into him, he forgot about the imminent rainstorm. With a convertible. And no raincoats or goggles. He AND Throckmorton. I later found out they'd filled up, including their spare cans and started home. Then, the bucket dumped. They pulled under a shed to wait it out. After a couple of hours, they gave up and started home, crawling. Right about the time they pulled up outside the gate and honked, the rain quit. I told him the walk gate was unlocked and his little roller skate could fit through. He went back to the carport, and I walked out to cinch the lesson. I fell on my knees. Two drowned sewer rats. Swear. Then, the wife let the dogs out, and his door flew open while they headed for the closest tree, chattering excessively. Yes, water ran out like a tidal wave! Yes, at cocktail hour, I gave him a snort. I also reminded him not to listen to others when you know what's best for you and yours. NOW he understands the power of a psyop! Rotflol !
