#RIP Admiral Thomas B. Hayward who passed away today at the age of 97. An aviator who flew 146 combat missions in Korea and 36 in Vietnam, Hayward served as the Chief of Naval Operations from 1978 to 1982 during which time he rebuilt combat readiness and emphasized "Pride in the Navy."
