It's beginning. Through the night, Wimkin thwarted 19 cyberattacks on our platform. While it's nearly impossible to figure out the offending IP addresses as most come through a proxy, the brazen nature of the attacks lead me to believe they were originated from Russia. ***I mean this in geographic locale only - I'm not saying it was the Russian government. These were not your normal Distrubted Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks where a bot network simply floods a platform with traffic. These attackers made hundreds of thousands of attempts to access our servers and root network passwords to wipe the platform completely. Our security is top notch and these attacks didn't even affect us however, we offer full transparency at Wimkin and wanted to update you on these newest, most disturbing of attacks. Wimkin is the 72,307 most popular website in the world and this doesn't even include a single app users' connection as such connections do not reflect web traffic. We're wildly popular but moreso, people are attacking the information and truths we allow here. We will never stop fighting for you. Thanks! 🇺🇲
