People LOVE to cancel/abuse/vilify others by the word "prepper" until the day comes for them to face their reality. That reality? They've been preppers when it mattered to them, but their list of priorities are out of whack. Ever bought prophylactics or birth control pills? Ever stock up on alcohol/food before a party? Get your car serviced before a trip? Take food to a covered dish? Take a thorough shower before a physical? Pay your power bill? You get the idea. EVERYBODY'S a prepper when the topic matters. Yesterday's post brought up some of the upcoming events that actually began many, many years ago. Blame is irrelevant, both sides perpetrated/colluded for personal gain. The truth? WHY DIDN'T YOU SEE IT COMING? You trust the government? Remember that the next time you get a robo-call or spammer. I assume your vehicle warranty has been extended, too........... Using your "mad money" right now to buy shelf stable food doesn't make you crazy, only smart, because you want to preserve your right to eat. Having food, water, and a place to sleep is basic. A 15,000 sq.ft. mansion and a 2022 Custom Willyhoozit automobile that costs $499,000.00 isn't. Yes, we own everything we've got. We've got plenty of food, water, and owe nobody a dime. We own our property (3.2 acres), and built our own house ourselves. We live quite comfortably on around $1500.00/mo. As the availability of foodstuffs drops, we keep "topped off", on our three week excursions to town, 17 miles one way. We don't eat out, and put less than 3600 mi/yr. on our three vehicles. They're all serviced, insured, and full of fuel.  Yes, we have 3&1/2 freezers. We have a 12.5kw.diesel generator, a 4k portable, and a 1200kw. portable gas generator. We heat with wood in winter, and insulated our house so well we cool it with two 5,000btu. window units in summer. We only buy things that will save us money in the long run, or preserve what we have. At times like this, the luxury of integrity far surpasses the fears those who're not so well equipped face. Y'all might want to shake up your priorities FAST. Your choice !
