This verse is an encouragement to the believer. John reminds us that the "He who is within us" (God) is greater than "he who is in the world" (the spirit of antichrist). In context, John is speaking of the many false spirits who will show up in the last days. He assures the believer that the spirit of God has allowed us to overcome these false spirits. We don't have to worry because we have made preparations by accepting the One True God, who is greater than anything the world has to offer.🔥🙏⚔🛡✝️
