The boy we guardianed was an alleged special Ed kid.1. Scored in the mid 80’s on his regents exams. The state average amongst non-special Ed students was 75.2. Maintained high honor role throughout his high school career.3. Graduated valedictorian of his class.4. Is in college studying veterinary medicine.IMO, “Special Ed” is a savage misnomer which forever stamps and labels kids AND in many cases devolves their sense of self-esteem. Rant over. 😬
