As we all look forward to the end of this past year, it bears reminding that the next one will be packed full of "delights" that none of us are eagerly anticipating. While pandemic panic, economic doom and gloom, sensationalized trials, and the infamous Kangaroo Jan.6th inquisition are bandied about in their efforts to entertain you, there's two major issues at hand that would/could change forever the direction our country is headed. With Trump's records case going to the SCOTUS, Joey's learned the consequences of White House communications. Did y'all notice they stayed in the Dang Cesspool for Christmas? Knowing Joe's past history of serving(?) in the Senate, he's actually been quite busy working with his old cronies trying to get the filibuster rule changed in the Senate to establish a simple majority rule. Why else wouldn't he want to spend time with the "smartest man he's ever known"? No, White House visitor logs aren't privileged information, but it would take a real investigation to see into them. Don't be distracted by the BBB legislation concept, either. It was in the details that they were more interested before Manchin and Sinema ruined their cover. It's important to remember that it's not just a Dem/Gop game going on here. With the Dems in lockstep aside from Manchin and Sinema, rest assured something's askew when party has more priority than The People. Also remember there's at least six GOP Senators playing "see-saw". Whilst not as openly obvious as "The Squad" in the House, there's quite a handful of convoluted narcissists vying for their political futures who'll sell their souls for power and position. Nobody knows this more than Joe, and if he gets his way, it's "hold her head up Luke, she smells oats". They'll be able to break down BBB and pass anything they want piecemeal. The original sin being done, the repugnant sell-outs will have already set the wheels in motion for the King to ascend to his throne. You might think I'm crazy, but consider the ramifications of two pieces of the original BBB. First is the immigration reform, which would've amnestied the over 11 million already here and given them citizenship. I.E. --- voting rights. Yeah, we kinda knew about that, but it would become a certainty under simple majority. The most dangerous is election reform. Should it be enacted, election integrity will be on a par with Venezuela and Iran. It's already appalling that we refuse voter I.D. when an I.D. is required for everything else. In North Carolina, we approved a Constitutional Amendment for voter I.D., but our Governor, who has Presidential ambitions, hasn't seen it put into place yet. Can you picture "drop-off" boxes all around your city for mail-in or remote ballots? Yeah, that's only one of many. Combine that with the Pandemic Panic and lockdowns. Nobody knows how long the "counts" will take after that. Federalization of state's voting laws, etc., will make our elections like the rest of the authoritarian regimes around the world. Candidacy requirements, redistricting, etc. will all be in their hands. It's disgusting that a lottery winner can be pinpointed instantaneously shortly after the numbers are chosen, but our elections keep taking longer and longer to know the results in spite of technology. Seems the more time it takes, the more shenanigans can take place. Plato said "Only the dead have seen the end of the war". Since you're reading this right now, you're not dead. Speak up and pay attention. While you CAN !
