This time of year when I glance at this quilt I flash back to my early childhood. Our beds were always covered with warm, soft quilts lovingly made by my Mother and Grandmothers. Those quilts reminded me of the Christmas Eve midnight service at our church with candle lit stained glass windows. The air was always cold and crisp, inside it was warm and inviting. There was a sense of peace, love and joy. The parents rejoiced and almost forgot their woes. On this one magical night we children knew we were celebrating the birth of our Savior not the gifts piled under the tree. Celebrate this season, rejoice!
