Being somewhat of a history buff I have had the opportunity to study various types of governments and the result they had on the population they govern, of all forms only one type seems to stand out.That one is a constitutional republic. only this one seems sustainable over time but just like the writers of our own constitution realized any form of government can become corrupt. Our republic has become corrupt. You ask what can we do, I have an answer to that.The fifth amendment is the proper tool to fix Washington. The fifth amendment gives the people starting at the state level the ability to override Congress and pass laws with out them. Such as with 2/3 of the states approval we the people could pass term limits, or even fund the border wall without congressional approval. Just thinking.R.M.
