Growing up, I was taught MANY lessons. Two that are pounding in my head this morning are persistence and "be nice". Now persistence has many forms, speaking up - refusing to be silenced, that is good! The spammers that call EVERY 1/2 HOUR FOR TWO DAYS, that is bad! "Be nice", express yourself without getting ugly or questioning the parentage of another, that is good! Casually wondering how you could possibly place the phone in unmentionable places in another's anatomy is bad! See, I remember my childhood lessons!
