I'm actually getting excited right now. There's a resurgence of American Patriotism in the form of rejection of our current body politic. Yes, there's still the pigeons in our society strutting around and defecating everywhere they go as they seek their narcissist hall of fame, but there's a clearly growing band that's sick of the division, and strictly negative approach both sides are taking. People are more determined than ever before to stay out of the fray, and get people in office who're going to do their jobs instead of perpetuating their own reign. Democrats are fleeing that party due to the ludicrous socialism encroachment and the authoritarianism they exude. Republicans are fleeing due to the feckless ones who're in office, but just as corrupt and complacent. There's simply a new party forming along the libertarian lines, which are the "leave us alone" lines. No, we're not contributing money to campaigns anymore. They'll just use it to promote negative campaigns like an alcoholic will spend it on cheap wine. They get enough from their rich benefactors they're in bed with. PAC's, lobbyists, and others are happy to pay for their souls, and do so daily. And they're happy to sell. I'm not totally sure how it's all going to shake out, but I AM confident the newly installed government will CLEARLY understand their place. Age caps, term limits, and campaign finance laws will need to be addressed. Truth in broadcasting and equal time laws will need to be dusted off, updated, and reinstituted. Impeachment of ANY elected official needs to become a very simple process upon clear evidence of wrongdoing. Any future changes to our founding documents need to be ratified by a 2/3 majority of the states. A national dictionary needs to be approved to prevent the bastardization and prostitutions of our language. Any/all lawmakers are to be subject to the same rules, laws, and regulations the rest of us are. Lifetime benefits for politicians need be limited according to office held. CONgressional pay should be commensurate with national GDP. We need a citizen board that's changed frequently to insure the powers granted to politicians and their staffs aren't corrupting them. More judges need to stand for election, and be subject to scrutinization. I'll even go so far as to eliminate any cabinet positions that weren't included in our original founding documents. Then, there's the foreign influences in our country. Our universities and major corporations are being infiltrated by those who's agendas are opposite our ideals. Our basic food chains are foreign controlled now. Land and farmland can be purchased by non citizens. Industry consolidations need to be closely scrutinized for monopoly considerations and outside ownership. Sourcing of any materials utilized in our military and parts thereof need to be manufactured here only. Our strategic oil reserves are only to be utilized in an emergency, not for propaganda. We've BEEN a leader on the world stage ever since our inception, and we can return to that position when we free ourselves of the oppressive burdens placed on us by an overreaching government. As originally envisioned, tax money raised from Americans needs to be spent on the betterment of Americans. Leaders lead by example, not tyranny. Other countries will aspire and compete to rise to our example, we shouldn't pay them to watch us or agree with us. It only takes 20% of our population to effect change. We need to remember that fact. 20%. VOTE INTELLIGENTLY !
