Cody and Austin are 15 and 14 respectively. They are cousins who love each other like brothers and are the best of friends and inseparable. They have always done things as a team. Austin likes auto mechanics, carpentry, landscaping and cooking. Cody likes landscaping and small motor repairs on dirt bikes, lawn mowers, four wheelers etc. The boys like doing everything together. This past summer the boys got together and came up with a plan to make enough money to get dirt bikes together. Austin started with the Center for Work Force two weeks after school ended, working full time from 8-3 and Cody worked every day around his town and neighboring towns weed whacking and doing small cleanups, while also helping with chores and helping pay household bills. At the end of the summer they had made enough to purchase one used “project bike” that didn’t even run, but they were not discouraged as this was going to be a project to do together like so many projects before. This was their plan, until a couple of weeks ago when their prize possession was stolen right from their back yard. Both boys are devastated.I know one of the families as the mom interned for me a few years ago. They are good folk...no rich, but NOT welfare parasites. These are good boys and what happened to them wasn't right.
