No, tomorrow I won't be celebrating Veteran's Day. Yes, there's reasons. Yes, I'll remember my shipmates and veterans of other branches. Yes, I'll remember the camaraderie. Yes, I'll always remember serving my country. The faux appreciation I'd see tomorrow would give me gut pains. Hypocrites will effervesce over their obligatory wokeness, but it will be wasted on me. I'll be back in time mentally, when commitment and dedication meant something. When putting our all on the line meant something.
Now, China has the world's largest Navy. Their buildup recently has shown the world their agenda. We currently still have over 100 military dependents including women and children in Afghanistan, and the Pentagon is "working on that". We have hostages in Haiti, but hear nothing about them. Meanwhile, this country is going to discharge service members who won't comply with the mandate. They're pushing CRT training, and paying for transgender surgery and aftercare drugs. We've got homeless Veterans all across America, yet we provide housing and income for illegal aliens. Our borders are wide open to unvetted crossers. Veterans are being targeted under red flag laws. Veterans are still commiting suicide in double digit numbers daily. The military morale is amongst the lowest numbers it's ever been. Not to mention the Afghanistan abandonment and equipment loss debacle.
Then, after reading the Declaration of Independence, I became nauseated. How we've allowed this to happen is criminal negligence by the very ones we served and protected. Bitter? No, rather extremely disgusted. Tomorrow, all the talking heads and woke networks will be spewing false accolades and "appreciation". They won't reach my ears. Words are cheap, actions speak volumes. Their actions for one day once a year are pathetic, just like their "woke" parades. Friday, they'll just be back at doing nothing again. Whining for more free stuff, and only concerned for themselves, possibly voting on the socialism bill. If you must comment, just say "Amen". Anything else is just words at this point. There's just too many of them that are empty.
I truly feel sorry for those serving today. Honestly.
