Are you the type to find fault or find a blessing? I enjoy looking at old homes, I will probably never buy one but do enjoying looking, admiring etc. I see plaster problems and flash to an old house my folks bought. The plaster on two walls in the kitchen was in bad condition, they had already rewired and replumbed the house, money was tight as at the time they were paying mortgages on 2 homes. Dad used his country upbringing to find a solution, he put up some barn siding. Mom loved the "country" look, no more broken plaster. I get a chuckle when I think about the future owners of that house, those two walls didn't exactly fit the cookie cutter interior design standards of the day. It did fit my parent's desires! You have the ability and voice to stand up for yourself and your family! Don't let others tell you any differently! Go ahead and be different!
