It's so hard to not be distracted by the " imbecile du jour " every day, and the glaring fecklessness. Stories about Powell dying from complications related to the pandemic in spite of having received both "requirements". No matter which way we turn, we're bombarded with bovine excrement designed to divide us. That is the true problem as I perceive it right now. I know freedom of the press is guaranteed under the First Amendment, but does that give them the right to spread mis/disinformation? I find it extremely hard to believe our forefathers contemplated this type of oppression. When an administration works in conjunction with the media, aren't they violating the Nuremberg Protocols? Yes, there's always been discord between individuals with differing beliefs, but open and honest discussion used to allow both sides to compromise to their mutual satisfactions. Today, we're more like a family get together at Thanksgiving with a drunk uncle Stosh, fighting and bickering ! With the constant drumbeat of fear, division, derision, and mis/disinformation , we're so keyed up we automatically strike. That's what we've got to stop. This problem must be solved in order to begin our healing process. Mis/disinformation must bring penalties to those networks who spread it. Retractions must be rapid, and phraseology intended to foment violence needs to be prohibited. Truth in broadcasting and the equal time laws need to be reinstated. Collusion between the federal government with MSM or social media platforms to disseminate their agenda should also be prohibited without a disclaimer. I agree this is a sticky wicket, but being allowed to continue on it's present course will prove the demise of a free society. Discussions in The Federalist Papers and the Nuremberg Trials pertain specifically to these issues, and yet, here we are again. Ignorance knows no bounds due to the lack of knowledge about what a boundary is. After the Nuremberg Trials, we cannot claim ignorance any more, though. We've moved on to the position of stupid, because we know better yet continue to do it anyway. There's simply GOT to be a way to prevent consolidation of our media and Big Tech providers. A cap on how many outlets and markets at the minimum to start with. No phantom ownerships, either. While we're addressing this topic, I would be remiss not to point out that omission of truth and fact is just as bad as mis/disinformation. To only cover one topic that supports an agenda but not saying anything about another in order to sensationalize a topic for profit is despicable. Yes, it's always the same. Follow the money. That's why there's so many 24/7/365 allnews/allthetime channels. Trust me, it's not a loss leader. I could tell you a story about a special plane equipped with 20+ flight phones, remote camera drones, and a built in studio commissioned by one of them, complete with long range tanks. Price, of course, was no object. Completion date was. Serious money talks, and it was completed and delivered on time. I can also tell you about a radio station in Florida that was on the air in 60 days from start to finish for a Texas broadcasting company. With a microwave uplink to a transmitter on the top of a bank building. Start to finish. That company owned six other radio stations, five television stations, countless newspapers and magazines around the country. They were considered "babies" in the business. We've got to start somewhere, with some serious folks hammering out a synergystic solution. Soon.

I totally agree.
I seems the ‘news’ people totally omitted the health issues for Collin Powell, of course. There is so much ‘deep ••••••• going on and people just don’t want to know the truth !!!
