I know life was challenging for my parents and grandparents. "Advancements" were happening every day! Those were the days of the "generation gap", the mantra "don't trust anyone over 30". Today, when we (of a certain age) look back we remember home and a sense of belonging and permanence amid all the turmoil around us at the time. Our children and grandchildren see it all as quaint and made-up. When they reach our age what will they look back on?
