I never expected people feeling comfortable with denigrating others without knowledge of them, but it seems to be a part of the new normal now. Yes, I'm old, I've admitted that. Amazing that such cowardly conduct is rewarded by this platform by accommodating your whimsical little temper tantrums. I actually had one of them troll a FOOD post. I just deleted the comment, which was NOT from a "friend" or they wouldn't be. The youth of today wouldn't have survived the woodshed lessons we were taught, back when belts were made of real leather. Even I died twice ! With the heavy handedness this platform has been displaying since 2015, things have been tough enough. Starting about two weeks before said whistleblower appeared and the Magnificent Social Media Crash of 2021 struck, this platform has been doing it's absolute best to cull anything conservative or even centrist. Now, even foodies are at danger. I would dearly LOVE to see the "community" that establishes these "standards", and have a discussion with them. I fear, however, that Stephen Hawking was correct. We're being controlled by A.I. bots, not people. This is only the beginning of the things that are being perpetrated on us by Big Tech and their Government taskmasters. Proof? Any business that receives government taxpayer money in any form must comply with the Constitution. They not only purchase ads on here, they've ordered these platforms to censor things the government tells them to. Relax, it's only going to get even worse. There's no end to Big Brother's reach when government becomes the rulers instead of governing according to the parameters set forth in our Constitution. If it's electronic, they see everything you do, text, message, or say. Even the Capitol Police have opened offices in larger cities to monitor people in violation of the Constitution. Yes, they're considered a Federal Police force, and their boss is none other than Nancy Pelosi. Neither she nor the Attorney General Garland has said a word. Yeah, we all see it. It's only a question of time now. Politicians who disagree or stand up to them are being deplatformed, just like Trump. Talk about authoritarianism ! Remember when Putin was excoriated for this behaviour? What's next here? Radioactive poisoning? C'mon. Even if you see it but don't say anything against it because you're a sympathizer, wait'll the tables turn and it happens to YOU. Yes, it will. That's how tyranny and oppression work. Think Trump had access to information about his predecessors he refused to release due to executive privilege even though it would benefit him? Of course he did, but he recognized the dangers to future administrations if he did. It's a shame Joe didn't have the same mental acuity when he just crossed that line. Standby for every former President being charged when they leave office. Remember who started it. George Orwell wasn't wrong, but we shouldn't have seen his works as guidebooks. Shame on us.
