Since the inception of this page I've railed at school boards and against school consolidations that've resulted in mega campuses requiring more money every year. These have become public indoctrination centers, and people have trusted them because of the childcare aspects only. Even if you back up a semi load of money, they're going to be screaming for more before it's all unloaded. Yet, teachers aren't paid for their out of pocket expenses or a wage commensurate with their time and dedication. I don't know where the money goes, but there's a big hole somewhere that's getting pretty full. If you've ever driven by a school at day's end and seen the investment in buses alone it's staggering. Now, imagine the maintenance and upkeep on them, not to mention the fuel requirements. Then, there's the politically correct athletic fields and tracks. Nothing but the finest. Definitely a far cry from the ones we grew up with, though jealousy isn't my angle here. It's about the bill of goods we've been sold by a nefarious plan to indoctrinate our children into a Marxist society. Yeah, I said it. This pandemic has at least served to awaken a lot of parents to the powers wielded by these boards. The CRT curriculum has incensed parents, and content in library and textbooks is insidious. In absolutely no way am I blaming the teachers. They're told what to do and in combination between boards and their unions, they're powerless to act. It's clearly apparent it's not about education anymore. Ask any student today what 22 divided by 7 is, and what that represents. Look at the quality of spelling on social media. Reading comprehension is reprehensible. Students today don't read this page because they have to pull out a dictionary to look up certain words, but epistemophobia has become an acceptable syndrome. The original "theory" of consolidation has completely failed. Just websearch the average amount paid to schools today by State, Federal, and local governments per student, and I believe you'll agree. If parents were paid this amount, the need for those indoctrination centers would be eliminated. If just five families pooled their money, a teacher could be hired at over twice what they make now. When you see a politician running for Governor of Virginia again say what is below, you might begin finally to comprehend this old curmudgeon. I'm over 70, but still remember a real education, not just convenient childcare while your children are indoctrinated and drugged into the lemmings the politicians desire. God gives children to those worthy of raising them. Somehow, somewhere, we got off track by trusting our children to others while we were free to go to work to earn enough money to pay ever increasing tax burdens. Every time we get close, they increase the taxes and debt ceiling to keep us in servitude. We not only need term limits, we need to have a balanced budget amendment, and allow schooling to be brought back home from D.C.. The days of trusting others to do the right things are over. They've abrogated their responsibility, and proven the old adage "Absolute power corrupts, absolutely". Our society is experiencing a struggle between Marxism and Socialism as the prequel to Communism should it all be allowed to continue. Remember, northern Virginia is the home of many politicians in D.C., and this guy has been Governor once before. Get it yet ?
