Remember the street hawker in "Pretty Woman" who walked around asking "What's your dream? Everybody's got a dream". In the Bible, it says "Where there's no hope, the people perish". Could it really be just that simple? It's a fact that most people who win the lottery end up declaring bankruptcy. Just like trust fund kids wind up in financial trouble. Why? They didn't EARN it. Without skin in the game, they don't know the principles gleaned from the struggle to be able to face the hardships. Is that what's happening in our country now? People seem to be perfectly willing to accept what others earn without any skin in the game. Of course, they never realize that the freebies out of necessity will dry up and disappear. When most people come into a windfall, they run around and blow it all. Then, they pray for another. Is that why drugs and alcohol are so prevalent in today's society? Escapism from the abject failures to perform? The amount of Herculean efforts in both World Wars and the response to Kennedy's challenge to put a man on the moon are forgotten by people today. There's no unifying dream ! I remember watching The Jetsons growing up, and dreamed of the day we'd have flying cars. Supersonic transports. Domestic robots. Little did I realize that our once great nation would come to where we are now. I knew people that invested in flying cars after seeing a prototype, but they're gone. Replaced by self driving cars because people can't even pay attention anymore. Maps have been replaced by GPS systems, but people don't even know how to use them. Now, they're even putting recorders and cameras in new cars. Why? To watch the accidents and playback the audio to see who caused the crash. With the advent of electric cars, nobody's even asked about what happens when a battery shorts out. The tree huggers are chortling about the emissions, while ignoring the environmental impact of millions of cars/batteries decaying into the soils and water tables. Even the climate data is being manipulated to show global warming peaking now by eliminating older data under the guise it wasn't collected the same way it is today. Doubt me? Search a guy named Joe Bastardi. He'll tell you the truth. It's a game. To gain more tax money. Only. What could serve as a unifying dream for our nation now? What's our dream? What's our collective hopes? What are we ALL willing to work for? The government thinks it's them, and raise our taxes to the near breaking point. They discourage anything that pertains to our Bill of Rights, especially the First Amendment. They're putting up barriers and activating National Guard troops when people are coming to protest and seek redress for unfair incarcerations. Instead of utilizing our taxes for the betterment of the American people, they squander it around the world and take kickbacks. Getting my point? In the absence of a unifying dream, the government is usurping us while accomplishing their own. Our founders realized this, and set provisions to circumvent that should we avail ourselves. At some point, the hopes and dreams will be for freedom, hopefully before it's too late. We've simply got to unify behind a singular purpose like they did when they declared independence from England and the tyrant King. One person can't do it, but many hands make light work. What's YOUR dream? What's OUR collective dream? What's YOUR hope? Where's OUR hope? Is it just alcohol and drugs, or will you WORK for something great? Can't have it both ways. Really.

It's interesting I follow this on the other site, and see it daily. But on here I rarely see it and have to search for the page if I miss it. Wish it popped up daily like the other.
