Photography taken in Ireland in 1972, of a girl firing her injured boyfriend's gun in a battle with the British army (He survived after being transported to a safe place, she faced British soldiers until they were killed).
When the English battalion commander discovered they had fought a woman, he ordered his soldiers not to touch her corpse and allowed the Irish to bury her. These
heard the English commander exclaim; " The queen does not care about us as this woman cared about her man and his land".
The photo was chosen for Women's Day in Ireland, along with the phrase" Don't be afraid to be associated with a strong woman.
The day may come and she will be your only army.
