July 2019.Picture if you will an old volcano inactive for tens of thousands of years but still hot and close to the surface, now picture that volcano sitting exactly on the largest fault line on the continent. Now imagine a group of people stupid enough to drill thousands of feet into this old volcano regardless of consequences. Well guess what all of those things exist at the China lake geo-thermal research station. What exactly this project will cause within the volcano I do not know but neither do any of the so called experts at the site. Now I do know one thing for a fact there is no such thing as an extinct volcano only a slumbering beast waiting to explode once more. Now I have one question was it really wise to tamper with the single most destructive forces on the planet by drilling into this volcano in particular because of it's placement directly on top of the San Andreas fault and the large size of the underlying lava dome.
