You know it is coming....definitely not cold but the humidity has broken (at least for a couple of days). Another sign is football, I loved sitting in the stands for the college games. What I really remember today are the high school games. I still am amazed at the tenacity of small Kansas high schools playing 6 man football. We had a small grocery store that supported our local team, fans would sit on the grass under the lights watching and cheering. Many of the players handled offense and defensive duties, play after play. Those small town boys grew up, many have families of their own and are sharing their values with their children. Rather than just remembering an easier time, teach others. Share your skills and values. Be an example, not just a grumpy old person!
