VF-41 was established #OTD in 1950. For an extended period of time the "Black Aces" flew the F-14 Tomcat, this image taken during a night launch from USS Enterprise (CVN 65) in July 2001, just weeks before the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Redesignated VFA-41, the squadron now flies the F/A-18F Super Hornet.
