Green is the color of fertility and growth in traditional Japanese culture. Like nature color, the Japanese word for green, midori, is also the word used for vegetation. Also, the color green represents energy, youth, and vitality.Green can also represent eternity, since perennial trees never lose their leaves or stop growing. Bringing the green color to the home decor is seen as if we are adding nature into it.Also, in Japan there is a special date: Midori-no-hi (Green Day) on May 4 during Golden Week. It's the day to celebrate nature. Families usually relax or attend events destined for that day in public Parks and Garden.
