It’s Sunday!!! I thought you might want to hear another story of our Godly Heritage. Did you know that many state constitutions required belief in the Holy Scriptures as a requirement for public office? For Example, PA Constitution of 1776 required “each member, before taking his seat, shall subscribe, I DO BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, THE CREATOR AND GOVERNOR OF THE UNIVERSE, THE REWARDER OF THE GOOD AND THE PUNISHER OF THE WICKED. AND I DO ACKNOWLEDGE THE SCRIPTURES OF THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT TO BE GIVEN BY DIVINE INSPIRATION.” Now you can argue that it does not apply today but you cannot argue that the Founders thought there should be a separation, as it was in the CONSTITUTION.
