SALVATION OF YAH
Ibri : (Hebrew) : יחושוע
Yeh o shu a
-or-
Yah hosh u a
-or-
Yahshua
Y'shua (shortened)
It is wrongly translated into English as Joshua and we must remember that the J was invented by Gian Giorgio Trissino in 1524 CE. So even the shortened form would be Yoshua.
When the letter J shows up in this context you must pronounce it like the letter Y.
Yeshuah is the word for salvation and the letter H at the end of the word makes it a feminine word, so if it's used as a name for a boy, you drop the letter H.
(thank you Rabbi Adam)
Our Savior's full name is Salvation of Yahweh, shortened to Salvation of Yah which is Yehoshua or Yahoshua or Yahashua.
Names should not be translated from the language they are in we must Endeavor to do the best job at transliteration that we can. It is Transliterate not Translate... for example the book in the so-called New Testament called James is actually the book of Ya'aqob. His real name is in the first verse of that book. He is one of the half Brothers of Yeshua. They shared the same mother Miriam.
And many of us refer to him as Yeshua, which is the male word for salvation so in effect we are calling him salvation and again I must continue to say... His full name is Salvation of Yahweh - Yehoshua.
