Folks took the appliances they had in the old house and put in the basement of the new house they built in the 80's. They are still working.

I still have the refrigerator my grandma had out in my shop and using it. It is one of those with the chrome pull handle/latch assemblies. That damn thing weighs a friggin ton. 1950 something.

I told my wife over 10 years ago that when this thing dies, I'm gonna gut it and turn it into a smoker. It must have heard me tell her that, it's still hanging in there!
