SOWELL-isms:Thomas Sowell was born in Gastonia, North Carolina and grew up in Harlem, New York. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Upon returning to the US, he enrolled at Harvard University and graduated Magna Cum Laude. In 1959 he received a Master's Degree from Columbia University and earned his doctorate in economics from the University of Chicago in 1968.He's an Economist, Social Theorist, Philosopher, Author and is a Senior Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution.
