The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is
in effect from Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Eastern Glacier/Toole/Central/Eastern
Pondera/Liberty, Hill and Blaine Counties and Chouteau and
Fergus Counties.
* WINDS...Southeast 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 13 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires, new or existing, may grow and spread
rapidly.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are possible. A combination of gusty winds, low relative
humidity, and warm temperatures will create high fire growth
potential.
Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in these
areas of this Fire Weather Watch.

Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is no
longer in effect.

The arrival of a surge of moisture tonight into Sunday will bring
the chance for showers and thunderstorms as well as significant
improvements in humidity. Showers and thunderstorms tonight have a
good chance of producing gusty outflow winds in excess of 30 MPH. The
chance for showers and thunderstorms will linger into Monday over
north Idaho and the eastern third of Washington. Dry and warm
weather will return Tuesday and Wednesday followed by the
potential for more showers and thunderstorms with a moist frontal
system Thursday.
