After I came online this morning, I blew my gasket. Yes, I'd watched CBN, and they repeated what I've been telling you for over a year. That's not what did it. The second post about it was only shared 28 times. I remembered patience is a virtue. Then, the biggie. The BILL OF RIGHTS. 189 reactions, 2,711 reached, 29 comments, 108 shares. Out of over 7,000 followers. Conversely, on the 24th of July, 275 reactions, 5,640 reached, 55 comments, 164 shares. We won't even bring up the snowman post. What's the difference? Apparently divisiveness and criticism are more noteworthy than truth. No wonder our world's going to Hades in a handbasket! It's not about the truth or even your rights anymore. It's about the Naa-Naa-Na-Na -Nah factor. When I realized that, I went to chapter one of the book I'd started entitled "Truth : Conversations With George" and deleted the entire draft. People aren't into reading anymore. Those who do read don't do anything with the information anyway, probably worried about their liberal friend's reactions. Alas, though, people that read and learn who do nothing about things are no better off than those who CAN'T/WON'T read. Checkmate. Game. After four years and three months, I feel like Madeline Kahn in "Blazing Saddles"....... I'm So Tired. Very few remember why I even started this page. No matter. Why did I continue it for so long? We used to be a community. We tried to make a difference. It would appear that familiarity indeed DOES breed contempt. I was truly expecting 100% share rate out of the ones who reacted yesterday. That would have increased the reach. The over 7,000 followers combined have a total page reach of over 120K, and it goes higher on the comments/shares/reactions matrix. It's not ALL Facebook throttling me down, it's apathy and lethargy. And not from me. Like you, I like to enjoy things and be proud of my accomplishments. Yeah, I've "wonked" out before, but this time seems different. The whole social media thing and Big Tech interfering with the truth is getting quite cumbersome, and now takes two to three times longer to make this happen. For what? To watch people not even react or share their God given rights? THAT post should've reached the over 11,333,000 the snowman post did. People STILL react or comment on that one, and I lost control of the comments a long time ago. With Facebook playing the games they are right now with reactions and lack of notifications, fact checkers on candy bar posts (true), and word manipulation by "missing contexters", it takes fortitude to tolerate it all and keep going. The fuel for that fortitude is at least appreciation. I know not to set out over 7,000 chairs at my funeral, but reality should be more than just a few. If you're not willing to stand up and do your part, we have an unbalanced situation I'm tired of playing. In fact, I'm tired of the whole social media game entirely. I'll drop around once in awhile to check on things, but when the trolls (who evidently have more time and energy) take over, I'm not sure how I'll handle it. The truth is still here, it's in past posts. The past year is more politically intense. I've warned about everything that's coming to fruition. I always wondered why it kept coming, but when people can't even stand up for their OWN rights, the answer is clear. Our nation is indeed in peril. The outcome will be the same as if George Washington stayed home in front of his fireplace and let the British run willy-nilly. I'm powerless to change you, but not powerless to do what I need to do. My God and my family comes first. Get as upset at me as you desire, at least I was honest with you. Stick a fork in me, I'm done.
