Many years ago, there was a serial rapist in our area. His MO was to tie up the husband, place him face down on the bed with a tea cup and saucer on his back, and told him if he heard it make a sound, he would cut his wife's throat.... all the while, he was raping her! I discussed this with my wife and I told her we had to formulate a plan in case we were the intended victims of such a guy. I told her to watch my eyes. There was NO WAY I was going to let this guy tie me up, because from that moment on, I was under HIS control.... and I was NOT going to let that happen. So, I told her to watch my eyes.... and she'll know to count down from three and then, we BOTH were to go for him. She was go go for his eyes! Ram her fingers and thumbs into his eye sockets! Try her best to blind the bastard with all her fury! At the same time, I was going for the take-down where we would have the advantage. The thought of this violence scared the crap out of my wife, but later on, she agreed that if it WERE to happen, at least she knew what to expect. Thankfully, we never experienced such a scenario, but we were one up on the situation should it ever happen. "vigilanti semper."
