I seem to start most of my posts with a question. I do apologize but my reason is that I want you to think! Today, I ask you have you heard of the 30x30 plan? I hadn't, to briefly summarize, it asks the federal agencies to develope plans to place 30% of all land and water in the country under conservation. Wow, we all want to conserve our natural resources but did you realize that only 12% is currently under conservation. It means that an area the size of the State of Nebraska would need to be added each YEAR. It doesn't necessarily mean the feds would take the land. However, it does mean that the feds would control more of our resources, determine land uses, water uses, what can and can not be done on private property. It can reduce the tax revenue in rural areas. Again, it will NOT have much of an effect on urban areas as they are already developed. Please THINK. We ALL need to cast a wary eye on all executive orders!
