Of course I know it's tomorrow, but those of you that know me know Sundays are reserved for only ONE thought stream on here. I always know when it's time for a holiday weekend, just like I know more people plan for their vacations than they plan for their long range futures. Reactions and reaches drop off like I've been restricted, but the truth is simply that folks are out "doing their thing". I'm not trying to rain on your parade for tomorrow, but PLEASE know the reason for the celebrations. It's not about the cookouts. It's not about the beer. It's not about going anywhere. It's not about fireworks. It's not just a three day weekend. It's not even about the chance you could lose a finger by combining several of the above ! It IS a time to reflect on the limits people were pushed to by an oppressive tyrant that REQUIRED action. Were these men exuberant about leaving their families to go participate in a bloody revolution? Absolutely not. They did it for the future of our nation. Believe it or not, they actually wrote the reasons down in a document ! Swear ! I know the number that can read it are dwindling due to the cursive writing, but it has been translated to print. Really ! Yes, we've been exposed to this for many years, and some of us remember reading it in school. When's the LAST time YOU read it? Should you do so tomorrow, and read it WITH your children and others, you'll understand the reason I ask you to take a couple of minutes of your precious time to utilize that dang thing in your hand to do something other than take pictures, message, or give it to the kids to occupy them while you play. Search the web. When you find it, choose "Declaration of Independence". Read said document to you AND others. THIS is the spelled out reasons why they fought a living nightmare against superior forces. Why they froze to death sometimes. Why they lost limbs from amputation due to a musketball. Why they were rendered asunder by exploding cannonballs on some forgotten battlefield in an unknown place. Yes, you'll also learn many other things. Like the reasons they sacrificed so much back then have only been exacerbated by our Royal dysfunctional family in a place called Washington. After you read the list of grievances from back then and compare them to the events today, you'll understand why they're censoring a LOT of posts this weekend as "political activism". Yeah, I 'spect this will probably be throttled down or censored, but no free American can tolerate oppression to the extent of paralysis by fear. No one can shut their mouths knowing the extent of the prices paid in the past for the ABILITY to PURSUE liberty in our lifetimes. Yes, there's always going to be "those" types wearing skinny jeans hiding in Mommy's basement or their safe spaces wailing in their fear. Happened back then, too. Fortunately, that behaviour was "corrected" back then. Now, our Royal Family has seen fit to remove the corrections in our society, promising Nirvana if you follow them and the rest of their lemmings. Combined with censorship from Big Tech and Social Media, the attack against us is well underway. We all know how and why, we just forgot that our tolerance levels have increased akin to drug addiction. Society has come so far so fast in the last 70 years or so it's like we're on a starship hitting warp speed. Everybody wonders why there's a "queasy" feeling in our guts every day. It's simple, and a very few minutes of your time tomorrow reading our Declaration to yourself and others will reinforce the knowledge that you've forgotten. Believe me. For those of you that always ask "What can I do", here it is. Will you? Can you? In THAT case, I DARE YOU !
