When I “caught” this concept many years ago, it was transformational. No, not about the meal. About life. It means to me, freedom of choice. And, further it means that I allow others to make their choices, without criticism or judgment or disdain. While interacting day-to-day with others, this can be more challenging than choosing food. That’s precisely why a metaphor can be so helpful to remember during challenging situations. Freedom is a God-given Right. Freedom of choice. Freedom of religion. Freedom to defend ourselves. Freedom of speech. Freedom of health. Freedom from tyranny. Freedom from abuse. And all other freedoms I may not have specifically named. My freedom ends where yours begins; your freedom ends where mine begins. Integrity is an infallible barometer. We are creative, sovereign beings. No one has the right to deny the sovereignty of any human being. Choose wisely. 🖤🤍🤎🕊💛🧡❤️🕊💙💜💚
