Many people have been reaching out to me asking about the future of HB 248 and why it hasn’t been voted on when it’s such an important piece of legislation. The short of it? Political blame games. HB 248 is arguably the most wanted and most needed bill in the history of Ohio. None of the other “Covid only”bills hold a candle to HB 248 and the legislators know it, so they continue to pressure our bill sponsor to water this bill down in an attempt to level the playing field with the other bills; appease lobby groups and LOOK like they are willing to pass “something” to “protect the people”. Rep. Gross has been accused of being “not willing” to listen to or “work with” GOP members, which is an out right lie. While Jennifer has not been willing to put forward a watered down version of a bill she believes provides maximum protection for the people of Ohio, she has NEVER refused to look at amendments proposed by other health committee members, nor has she said she would vote against any proposed changes.But guess what?... NOT ONE of the complaining REPRESENTATIVES on the committee have PUT FORTH an AMENDMENT to HB 248!Why?Because all of these committee members know that HB 248 has more support than any bill in the history of Ohio and it’s political suicide for a Republican to put forward an amendment to water this bill down, or carve out certain populations. So instead, they’re going to blame Jennifer for not amending the bill herself and letting it “die”.So what do WE have to say about that Ohio?We will spend this entire summer IN the DISTRICTS of the health committee members and house leadership raising awareness among THIER constituents about HB 248 and why the bill is vital to protect all Ohioans NOT ONLY from COVID 19, but from whatever vaccine may be forced on us using the same fear -driven media propaganda we have experienced for the last 16 months. Anybody that’s paying attention knows if they can control and manipulate an entire nation using an illness with over 99% recovery rate, then they can do it AGAIN with something NEW.Ohio.... Do we OWN OUR BODIES, or don’t we?There is NOTHING “broad” or “severe” about the RIGHT to DECIDE what is injected into your body or child’s body, without fear of loss of job or forfeiting your ability to obtain goods and services in a free society. That is a ridiculous lie that we will not accept.Republicans need to stop looking at how we’ve done things in the past, and start looking at how we must to do things for the future! If we don’t draw the line in the sand NOW between our body, our government and our employer, then FREEDOM is DEAD. There are three other half-ass Covid-only versions of “medical freedom” bills at the state house. If the GOP wants to pass one of those, then they can go right ahead. How DARE they BLAME the ONE woman who CONTINUES to STAND for the BEST medical freedom bill EVER put forward for OHIOANS, for HB 248 not passing yet!? HB 248 hasn’t been passed because Republicans lack the spine to publicly vote on it in its current state, due to fear of backlash from opposing organizations that do NOT represent the average Ohio citizen.
